This is a simple blood collection study for indication of type 2 Diabetes. The blood sample collected will be approximately 50 ml.

To qualify for the study, you must:
· Donor must be diagnosed with TYPE 2 DIABETES
· Donor must be BETWEEN 18 AND 70 YEARS OLD
· Donor must be LEAN Defined by WHR or BMI
o BMI BETWEEN 19 AND 25
OR
o Waist to Hip Ration (WHR) of Female Less Than 0.80, Male Less than 0.95
· Donor must NOT HAVE SMOKED WITHIN 1 MONTH OF COLLECTION
· Donor must have an HbA1c GREATER THAN 7.0 RECORDED WITHIN 3 MONTHS OF COLLECTION
· Donor must have a FASTING GLUCOSE GREATER THAN 120 mg/dL WITHIN 3 MONTHS OF COLLECTION
· Donor must be MAINTAINING CURRENT THERAPIES WITH NO SIGNIFICANT LIFESTYLE CHANGES
Exclusion Criteria:
· Donors who are known viral positive (HIV, hepatitis, syphilis)
· Donors under 18 or over 70 years old
· Donors who are taking Insulin or any Insulin Analogs
· Donors with existing or with a history of metabolic disorders (i.e. Type 1 Diabetes, Heart Diseases, Kidney Diseases, or Liver Diseases)
· Donors with a History of Gastroparesis or Pancreatitis
· Donors with a History of Thyroid Dysfunction
· Donors with a History of Cancer
